We got the lowdown on NVR’s latest flick when we were bro-ing out at ISPO in Munich last week, he promised us great things, it looks like the boy from Portugal has delivered.

One City: From Lisbon to LA: This is the Vol.1 of the new My Road Series, an informal surf documentary featuring Nic Von Rupp.

Also featuring Frederico Morais, Tiago Pires, Vasco Ribeiro, Yadin Nicol and many more, directed by Gustavo Imigrante.

NIC VON RUPP PRESENTS MY ROAD SERIES
After Several Premiers around Europe, we are finally ready to launch next Monday 23th the first of four episodes of My Road Series a Informal Documentary directed by the duo Dinis & Gustavo, starring the young Portuguese surfer Nic von Rupp.

ONE YEAR ON THE ROAD IN GOOD COMPANY
Over the four informal documentaries, Nic takes us to the main stage of surfing, describing not only the life of a professional surfer, but also trying to find out the position that Europeans currently occupy in the surf world.

Also starring other Portuguese surfers today, such as Tiago Pires, Vasco Ribeiro, Frederico Morais, the first episode of My Road Series, entitled One City – From Lisbon to Los Angeles, draws a parallel line between the Portuguese capital and the world capital of surfing, exploring their common points and differences.

How does a professional surfer live? What is the space occupied by Europeans in the international surf industry?

In One City, we get to know Nic von Rupp and the way he accomplishes his career in Lisbon to then, from LA, understand that “living displaced” is part of the condition of any professional surfer, and in the midst of a life in constant movement there is always the need for a city that can be called “home”.

Will Lisbon be a good “home” for a professional surfer?
Will Lisbon be the next European capital of surfing?

My Road Series reveals one year filled with trips around the world searching for the best waves, always welcomed and driven by local people, that besides than excellent surfers and storytellers, also turn out to be great friends.
