It can be tough to pin point precisely the best part about being sufficiently blessed by fate and fortune that I get to do a regular podcast with Ben Mondy.
Not just do a podcast, but to get paid for it, too.
I know, right?
In this latest episode, Ep27: The Winds of Change sure, Ben might have forgotten to use headphones (we’ve only been doing pods together for some 8 years or so now, easy mistake to make, etc) and so, sure, I had to go painstakingly through the whole thing and clip out every part of his audio file whenever I talked, so as not to have an echo of my sound, on his channel.
Fun!
It was all worth it though. Episode 27 comes after almost fully forgiving him for #OlympicJudasGate, and I think you can tell by the warmth and lightness to the badinage.
Topics up for discussion this episode include:
Sports: Snowboarding, F1, cricket, tennis (tiny bit), surfing, ice skating
Culture: Jazz (Yazz Ahmed’s experimental Arab-influenced feminist trumpet), The Scorpions, Pete Mel in Everything & All, Kai Neville x Ando’s Ceremony, Patrick Raddin Keefe, Bill Finnegan
Domestic affairs: Present buying, gastro, parenting (general)
Drugs: Weed, hap´´´é (Amazonian shamanic snuff), Oxycodone
There’s a full and frank enquiry as to why Mondy’s WSL articles are so banal and crap, a relatively superficial, dismissive look at the new qualifiers for the 2022 CT, and lots lots more.
