WATCH: Koa Smith Gets Barrelled Eight Times On One Ridiculously Long Wave At Skeleton Bay

It’s a while since we’ve been totally mesmerised by a single wave at Skeleton Bay.

There have been good edits dribbling in ever since the wave burst into the public consciousness back in 2008, but nothing has ever matched up to that POV clip of Koa, surfing through an outrageously wide sheet glass tunnel. Recently he returned to Skeleton bay looking to outdo himself, and came up trumps with this unbelievable 8 barrel wave.

According to the drone pilot Koa travelled is 1.5km, which puts his average speed at 28mph. Hit play and enjoy the wave as seen from both sky and Koa’s mouth:
