On a simple ordinance survey map Tasmania looks like a dejected little crumb off Australia’s south coast, but flip that map to satellite view, and it reveals one of the most beautiful and enticing little islands on earth.

Stu Gibson is one of Tassy’s finest lensmen, capturing action from land, water and sky, and is renowned for shooting some of the finest ever images at the mutant that is Shipstern Bluff. In his latest edit though, filmed around Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast, he’s fixed his lens on all together more tranquil subjects, capturing the serene beauty which exists in stark contrast to the islands ferocious and sharky seas.
