WATCH: Peony Knight Just Sailed Into Tenerife For The First QS Of The Season! Earlier this week Peony Knight casually sailed from Madeira to Tenerife ahead of opening leg of the Euro QS. Full story and a clip of her warming up for the comp, here:

The intrepid Knight family of North Devon have had an exhilarating winter so far, traversing the high seas of the North Atlantic.

Taz has been splitting his time between his new home in Ireland and the family sailboat – currently crewed by his parents and sister Peony – which has been anchored up in Madeira for the last few months. Earlier this month, according to Tom Lowe, Taz scored one of the paddle waves of his life at giant Mully and while we’re yet to see footage of the ride in question, his recent Insta posts suggest it was just one of many incredible rides from his winter so far.

Last week, Matt, Suzanne and Peony set sail for Tenerife, where the first Euro QS of the season will take place next week. Since their arrival, Peony has been making the short paddle at first light each morning from their moorings to the reef in an attempt to catch a few waves before the energetic crowds of locals and fellow QS shredders arrive. And Matt, by his own account, has been following close behind, paddling in through the shore-break on a SUP; “trying not to embarrass myself (and amuse everyone else) by kooking it on the reef, focussed on keeping the camera dry.”

While he adds an apology for the ‘dad-cam hand-held’ footage in the clip below, the whole things looks and sounds to us like a pretty sterling effort from all involved and we wish Peony luck in the comp!
