WATCH: A Horrific Wipeout & Disastrous Rescue Attempt Starring A 51 Year-Old Charger

While most 50 something's spend their leisure time confined to their gardens or the golf course, Salvador Villas Boas has got a very different way of blowing off steam...

8th April 2019

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the rabid pack who take to the Nazaré lineup once the waves tick above the 20 foot mark, is how many over 50’s there are among the ranks.

Sure, adverts for supplements might tell you that life begins at 50, but realistically by the time most people hit the half-century their adrenaline filled, risk-taking days are largely behind them.

As a result, most over-50s spend their leisure time confined to either their garden’s or the golf course. Or, for the slightly more adventurous ones, running or cycling ball-achingly long distances. However, the likes of Ross Clark-Jones, Carlos Burle, and of course Garrett Mcnamara, the man widely credited with putting Nazarè on the map, seem to have dodged this standard trajectory continuing instead, to be standouts on big days at the break.

And now a video has dropped featuring another centurian attempting to tame the beast. The man in question is Portuguese hellmen Salvador Villas Boas and the attempt in question constitutes a hectic wipeout and an even more hectict attempted rescue. Regard below:
